Life in the Fast Lane

Hey Girl!

My name is Natalie Garcia. Do I dare say, I’m 32 years old….well, there is no hiding my age especially with possible white hairs growing from my scalp.

Anyways, I am super excited to launch my very first blog.

I’m a girl from a small low economic town where the majority of the people were from Latino/Spanish speaking countries, in addition to my own parents who one immigrated from Colombia, and my mom who is from Puerto Rico, so my second language is English. I knew from the moment I created my blog, I wanted to be as real and as raw as possible.

A little bit about who I am, what I do, and why I’m here:

So I’m a wife to an amazing husband who I met at the early age of 18 years old. It wasn’t a perfect love story, but the very same summer I met him, we started to create the very foundations of our relationship that would eventually take us to the altar to bond our love till death do us part. We have been married for almost 10 years. CRAZY!!!! Where did the time go? Through those foggy years, we have procreated three munchkins who have turned our life upside down from the moment they came into this world but in an absolutely amazing way. Through the last 10 years, my husband and I have gone through multiple jobs,  nursing school, military obligations, and graduating and becoming independent adults creating our own little future for our family. After having my second child, I came upon this little thing called, postpartum depression. I had heard about it through nursing school, but of course, had not experienced with my first child, and it hit me like a ton of bricks that started my downward spiral in my physical and mental health. I had gained 50 lbs through my pregnancy and suffered from anxiety and depression all while recovering from a c-section. I felt like I was no longer me. It was an outer body experience. My relationship with my husband started to falter. My love for nursing started to die as the work environment I had worked in for full-time became less and less attractive.

I lived in a total mental fog. I decided at the time I was still on maternity leave, that I would leave my full-time job because I knew I could not handle the negative environment anymore. With that decision started the financial strains that my husband and I would then start to struggle with which we had no idea would become our starting point to why I do what I do now.

So fast forward to a few months postpartum, I decided to join a friend on an online health challenge group. Not knowing exactly what this was, I was curious, and needed  a solution that would work with my schedule and of course my very limited funds. That same summer I started on my own health journey and started to finally lose my post partum weight. I lost a total of 40lbs and continued my health journey until the end of that year that I had my son. After a year of combating post partum depression, weight gain and weight loss, working on my marriage, finding myself again, and figuring out where I wanted my nursing career to go, I fell upon this opportunity which started my whole health journey in the first place, online health coaching.

My mission and purpose:

Since I started online health coaching in 2015 I have learned so much from the women I work with on a daily basis, from what makes them tick. To their daily trials and mental struggles, to the other burdens placed on them from family, work, and areas they serve in. Through all that I have seen the greater need the woman has to care for her body and mind so she does perform her and is the most productive she can be all while holding all the roles she holds.

So over the years my mission and purpose have gotten clearer and more precise as I’ve seen the needs grow and grow among my audience, clients, and personal coaches I mentor in their businesses as well.

Our official mission therefore has become the following:

We are committed to helping every single woman in our community with the right tools and resources to help her develop into a strong, fierce leader of her own life. Through our 12 month program, we offer resources and around the clock support for every participant to take control of her health, wellness and personal development. Our guidance caters to areas of mental and physical education, financial education, spirituality, relationships, and career enrichment. We even offer an accountability program to ensure support and results.

I am personally committed to living out this mission and purpose every single day of my life.

Thank you for joining me on this journey and if you are bold enough, I look forward to working with you one on one or through my very own personal online communities.
